I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Philosophy at Sam Houston State University.

My lab examines how social and cognitive principles interact in complex, real-world scenarios with specific interest within the legal system. Our lab examines topics like eyewitness identification, jury decision-making, deception detection, sexual assault and grooming behaviors as a precursor to child sexual assault.

We also aim to bridge the theoretical and applied understanding between psychology and the legal system.
